Fellow Member

A fellow member shall be a physician assistant as defined in Article VII of the Constitution, who resides in or is employed in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and is also a fellow member of the AAPA. Fellow members shall have full voting rights and shall be eligible to hold office.

Affiliate Member

An affiliate member shall be a physician assistant as defined in Article VII of the Constitution who resides in or is employed in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Affiliate members may be fully active in chapter affairs but may not participate in issues relating to the AAPA, such as voting for delegates, submitting resolutions or being a delegate to the AAPA House of Delegates.

Associate Member

An associate member shall be an individual from the health professions who desires to associate with the Academy. Associate members shall be entitled to the privileges of the floor but shall not be entitled to vote or hold office.

Dual-Chapter Member

A dual-chapter member shall be a physician assistant who maintains a primary membership with an AAPA constituent chapter outside of Kentucky and a secondary membership with KAPA. Dual-chapter members shall be entitled to the privileges of the floor but shall not be entitled to vote or hold office.

PA / Physician Team

A PA / Physician Team shall be a Physician Assistant as defined in Article VII of the Constitution, who resides in or is employed in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and is also a Fellow Member of AAPA and his/her supervising physician. Only the PA of the PA/MD team member shall have full voting rights and shall be eligible to hold office.

Student Member

A Student Member is any person who is enrolled in a Physician Assistant program approved by the Board. Student Members shall have the privilege of the floor of the Academy but shall not be entitled to vote or hold office except as the student representative on the Board, and who shall be able to vote at all board meetings.
